Andy Marshall lent me a Hot Mod V2 EVO. I tried it in a 2 channel Mesa Triple Rectifier, Orange OR50 and THD Series One Plexi(69' smallbox clone). I recommend replacing one of the 12AX7 with a 12AT7.

I use a MXR M108S GEQ or Ibanez PTEQ. The PTEQ gives the most control over the sound.

There is a lot of variation of the carved top. I just screw around with it till it looks and feels right. I tend to like the knobs a bit high.

I use scooped for chord work and midrange bump for single notes with the band. It's really about how it fits around the vocals.
