Yep! Definitely would do a very different tone in a mix- it’s a tough balance of trying to show off the extreme capabilities of amps like this vs tones that are more practical but sound more similar to other amps but cut way better

Curious if any boutique amps do the 5150thing- most seem to be based on Marshall, Mesa, soldano,bogner or diezel

rev green is the second revision :) The Rev 1 had roughly 150 that were made and they are a little bigger but very similar

I dont think 180 is crazy honestly- i'd be pissed if something broke right after I got it. You technically dont owe him anything, but I personally would always rather the buyer not feel slighted and build a good reputation as a seller. But you have to decide whether you care.

out of curiosity, did you get them to loud volumes? I could see that description on lower volumes- they need some volume to fill out and are very loud amps as a whole

Orange Dual Dark 100 Engl Savage 120 Revv Generator mk3 120 HK Triamp mk3 all 4 sounded very synthetic to me Friedman Custom 50- just was very average sounding- not bad but I expected way more

No idea if he’d want to or if they want him to, but assume both are true, couldn’t happen to a more deserving person- he is super entertaining and a better teacher than anyone I’ve seen- breaking down the mechanics and theory in ways I haven’t see other people do

Second all of this- I’ve ordered a bunch of custom stuff and I love it, but it all took way longer than initially quoted. And I’ve seen several people who ordered from smaller builders and had qa issues- basically look closely into a brand before buying from them
