Tried to capture the massive low mids of the amp
rev green is the second revisionThat's the green rev right? My buddy had one that I coveted, definitely preferred it to my blue. Congrats!
oh sick!rev green is the second revisionThe Rev 1 had roughly 150 that were made and they are a little bigger but very similar
I’ve done a few hr videos but they didn’t come out well imo- they are on my channel - the newer one is betterGod that amp sounds absolutely huge. I’ve played a rev green cranked through two 4x12s before and it’s a jaw dropping experience. I can’t imagine this rev 1.
Do a video of the HR next![]()
Rev1's / Originals are awesome amps.
Here's a clip of mine against my Rev F rectifier for reference.

Thanks so much!Always loved this video of yours. That song is cool as shit. The rectos always seem to across better in a mix for me, as much as I love ubers. The rolled off top end on the originals was my biggest complaint but I used an eq to “fix” it with pretty good results
Yep! Definitely would do a very different tone in a mix- it’s a tough balance of trying to show off the extreme capabilities of amps like this vs tones that are more practical but sound more similar to other amps but cut way betterCan really hear that extended depth. I sometimes bring the presence down like that too for fun, but as I’m sure you’ve learned, it’s a great way to get completely lost in a mix whether live or recorded
Yeah imagine a guy that thought the Bogner Uberschall was the only amp anyone should ever use for metal and nothing else even came close...Never saw this but I’m cracking up in the office now and can’t explain why
In general I’d agree, but IME these Rev 1 Uber’s can vary quite a bit from the 2 I’ve had and others I’ve tried. I heard literally they can vary noticeably under the hood as Reinhold was experimenting more at the timeAlways loved this video of yours. That song is cool as shit. With the one I kept I can say from AB’ing with 3 different Rev C Recto’s (one of which you’ve played) this Rev 1 actually had a lot more high end cut (but maybe smoother still in those frequencies) and was less scooped than those Recto’s (or at least for sure less hollow in the center mids). I’d actually expect it to cut better in a mix (would have to try), but of course it won’t be a Marshall or anything. For me the key is to have the treble and channel volume up super high (sometimes close to max) and lower the presence and global volume as needed. I dial it in the exact opposite of most other amps lol, but find if needed mine at least can have the cut if desired
What do you mean by rolled off high then if you say your’s also has more bite than Recto’s? In a few months I’ll probably try my uber, recto and other amps in a mix when reamping a friend’s song. I’d think by being less scooped and more cutting highs it should on paper cut a bit better than my Recto’s, but I guess I’ll find out. I find it’s hard to predict these things until trying it. The Recto’s did sit really well actually in the mix when we last tried them in his reampsMy comment above comes across confusing- the rolled off high end on the originals is separate from the mix issue. I’m with you in that every time I’ve A/Bed the rectos and ubers, the ubers have more bite on the high strings and that’s why I always love them, particularly the rev 2. Don’t have to blast the treble control to get the cut. But take an Uber to a band situation and prepare for the struggle. Rectos just work better there.
