    Ceriatone drops an SLO Clone..

Looks like they the original tube and also added there SS loop, odd. The bright cap might help a little but really needs to up the filtering cap in the PI to tighten up the SLO or any clone.

NAD: 1970 Marshall Super Lead (plus restoration)

I wonder if there is something going on with the 50/50uf can cap, filter cap in that stage or if the 500pf mica has shorted...

Yeah, I don't agree with that at all but that's cool.

How would you go farther with an SLO if the Mezz has more features?

Mod Ideas for JMP 2203 Build

I think a good amp to (copy) go with the ones you listed would be the Friedman BE - JJ or SS circuit, with variable depth and NFB

Suhr SSH+ is in! Is there something wrong with my Aldrich?

I measured both of my SSH+ was 16.36k and Aldrich was 16.78k. Pretty close to what you are getting. Could it be that maybe it was wired incorrectly to the guitar? In some guitars I found the JB sounds a little cocked wah sounding in the midrange.

    Drop C String Gauge

https://www.daddario.com/products/guitar/electric-guitar/nyxl/nyxl1156-nickel-wound-medium-top-extra-heavy-bottom-11-56/ I really like these strings for that tuning on my 25.5" scale guitars.

Yes! Schematic wise basically just a decatone which is just a slo that has all the mods, that has better switching.

Suhr SSH+ is in! Is there something wrong with my Aldrich?

I have a SSH+ and Aldrich in 2 different strats and the Aldrich has more output and more upper mid and the SSH+ is more lower mid to my ear. Nether have the classic JB weird mid thing going on lol imo.

Sale or Trade Ceriatone Chupacabra 100W

on an amp like this with a turret board and the chassis already has the same hole pattern the zero loss effects loop it would be a pretty easy install.

    Marshall Modified

isn't the plate voltage really low on the 2203x amps now? Like 420 volts?

I know you are probably joking but these are very different circuits.

    Ceriatone Chupacabra mods

2.2nf is .0022uf. As some other guys have pointed out, that isn't going to sound very good at all. That will make the amp sound very small and thin. Also want to add that those TAD caps are deceiving because a .022uf looks similar to the .0022uf. Might want to measure them as well to make...

Soooo… $3499 for the RI Dual Rec?

I think that when you have the knowledge and skills to build, and mod amps and to make them sound how you want them to sound it takes a lot of the lure out of wanting some of these other amps that are not obtainable. His good tone that he hears might not be your own and just because it looks...

Do you guys follow Splawn Amplification on FB?

I follow a lot of guys on FB to keep up dated on new amps and gear. Lately Scott has been posting some videos of him playing their new guitars and playing through a Quickrod. Some of the tones he's getting make me really want a Splawn amp! Check this one out! It's one amp I've never played...

    Ceriatone Chupacabra mods

Totally get it man, not for everyone at all. Your descriptions on what the amp was stock is right on as well. In my 50 watter I really like the .022uf/150k combo as I think it's a little tighter feeling and more mid focused and punch with awesome pick attack like a Marshall should be. The...

    Ceriatone Chupacabra mods

I really like the feel and depth of the .1uf/100-110k combo here with this amp (that is what fortin/growler use - you know this already) but then you have to cut the bass on the first and possibly the second stage and run the stock 47k slope, cuts a little low mids in the tone stack (I run 2...
