I love my GLXD16. I've had it since 2015 and it's been a reliable rock. It sounds great... I prefer its sound to cables, and I don't know what sorcery they're playing at but my fuzzes sound fine with it. Battery life has been great.
I believe the main improvement of the GLXD16+ is the one I...
Chronologically starting as a 11 year old:
Fender Frontman 15G
Smokey Amp
Fender M-80 Head
Crate G40CXL or something like that (stereo 2x10 junker with a really cool onboard chorus)
Marshall JCM900 4501 Dual Reverb 1x12
Lee Jackson XLS-500
Marshall JCM800 4210 (1983... buzzy POS)
Fender Blues...
Edit: he just emailed that he sold it after receiving a bunch more offers and someone willing to show up this morning. He had it priced at $1K which seemed very good but wasn't sure if there was anything else to pay attention to.

It's a big logo but the knobs have the pointers on...
They are--and have perpetually been--understaffed relative to demand pretty much since at least the PS-1 came out. If you backed their Kickstarter for the GP/DI, that was also full of drama.
I'll say what I've said before: Fryette offers great products. Their support varies between great and...
I think the Road King allows simulclass to mix EL34s and 6L6s and toggle between them. Roadster is just switch between 50W and 100W but couldn't select tube type per channel.
I think that was the main difference?
I thought the Roadster sounded good but the lag between hitting a footswitch and...
I had a '57 Reissue Stratocaster that I traded for a Charvel Model 3 when I was 17 years old.
I regretted it within 24 hours... called the shop back but the Fender was already gone.
I've read/heard that the Peavey 5150 was the next stage of evolution of the VTM series. The VTM is essentially a Marshall MV circuit with a bunch of mods that can be turned on/off using the dip switches.
But then I've heard that the 5150 is a shameless copy of the Soldano SLO in many respects...
Thanks for this pointer! I've never gone this route before so have a few questions (all are likely pretty stupid):
* When they mill it down, is it more grinding or do they cut it then grind to smoothness?
* For re-drilling the string holes, will machine shops be able to not introduce any snag...
I’ve built a Jazzmaster body from scratch. Unfortunately, I made it near real Jazzmaster spec, which is thinner than a Strat without considering the trem. The guitar is about 42mm thick which is too thin for standard Strat tremolo blocks.
I had intended to install a Gotoh 510ts-fe1 in Cosmo...
Aren't these and any vert input 800's exactly the same amp just different cosmetics? It's only the horizontal input 2203's that had any type of change from what I understand.
I used to love using a MT-2 with the gain at 0, then use the volume and EQ to get your core tone... then bring the gain up gradually to the point you want it. Honestly at 0 it's already introducing some gain/boost and crunch to the signal. Sounded brutal.
I've been trying to do this. My mids have been cranked and bass is relatively low. It just seems like there's a gap in the EQ where a guitar should really cut through and it just isn't. And I keep the ch 2 and ch 3 gain in the 9-10:00 area (so really low).
I know it's kind of a cliche term, but...
