Ps100’s have been backlogged for a while at all the retailers that I frequent. Anyone know what’s going on? Stock arrival dates pushed back multiple times, is Fryette still in business or do they have a new Power Station coming out? Just curious.

Thanks guys, just heard back from Fryette and apparently they’re about to start shipping out to clean up dealer backlogs. Fryette Online store won’t have them until dealer backlog has been cleared.

Wow didn't know this. Confirmed or suspected?
Btw, not trying to sideline my own thread but as someone who watches a lot of your videos…what exactly is zen amps? Are you a retailer? Do you make your own amps (think I saw something about that on your FB page)? Just curious cause you all do great amp videos. I really like watching them for tone ideas and generally to get a sense of an amp.

I just cancelled my order almost 2 weeks ago after waiting over 8 months for my order. Those guys can suck it. I'm done with Fryette products. Their customer service is piss poor. Don't have time to deal with companies like that.

No not a retailer - it's my collection as a studio guy that has grown into an incipient amp company with some like-minded (i.e. tube obsessive) techs, players and producers. Yep we're working on our own amp, still in the R&D phase as it's a pretty involved device.

The YT channel in the meantime is a fun diversion that we hope can be useful for some folks. Glad you've gotten some value from the videos - an enjoyable but incredibly time-consuming process!

Don't judge me, but I visit TGP occasionally....this sentiment is not uncommon over there (and aligns with our experience too).

Talking out my ass but I don’t think they have more than 3-4 people building stuff, spread that out over 10ish labor intensive products and it makes sense. They could farm that shit out to BAD and rake in cash.
Set up alerts if you can, that’s how I found my 2A as a “blem” on sale.

I would never pre order from them. But I’d never turn my back on them either. Just wait til they are in stock at a retailer or buy second hand. My D120 is too good to abandon Fryette.

That's bs unless something changed very recently. They build more power stations than anything else in their shop.

I remember a post long ago where they said they got a bunch of PSs in ready to… posted a pic of a stack of boxes they just got in… implying someone else builds them. I believe there are only 3 people who work at Fryette… so it’d be tough for them to build all those themselves.

Very cool, are you one of the guys from the videos? The one in the beginning who does the talking?

Vids are always super helpful and nice reference points when dialing in tones at home. Also nice to have multiple playing styles and similarities in riffs across amps.

Shucking guy is my favorite…those flames on the button down and then mr. Shreddy biceps is definitely #2. All incredible players.

Can you share any details about the amp you’re all intending to build? If it’s elsewhere, just let me know. Thank you!

Our buddy Leon hosts, and the players are friends I've done recording projects with over the years. Leon has a great youtube channel himself actually: https://www.youtube.com/@LeonTodd/videos

Besides the odd Exodus or Def Leppard riff no, I haven't embarrassed myself too much given the quality of the other players!

As for the amp, there's a little info and a few early clips here:

We've got a prototype doing the rounds with a few producers and players - once feedback is in and we decide on the final design of course you guys will be the first to know!

This is awesome, thanks for sharing! Looking forward to hearing the amp once it’s progressed more!

They have had spans before this where they were back ordered. I'm surprised some Chinese company hasn't started making a cheaper clone or even a SS version. If Ceriatone wasn't so popular and backed up himself he probably would have.

Fryette seems like an odd company with poor customer service. I would worry about any preorder with them if I had to pay upfront.

They are--and have perpetually been--understaffed relative to demand pretty much since at least the PS-1 came out. If you backed their Kickstarter for the GP/DI, that was also full of drama.

I'll say what I've said before: Fryette offers great products. Their support varies between great and completely nonexistent and it's a crapshoot as to which experience you might get. I've also learned to never trust Fryette when they give some type of a timeline on anything.
