Anyone interested in selling me an Charvel DK24 2PT in the HH configuration, preferably the gloss black or the Chlorine Burst at a non-delusional price? (edit --- the MIM ones are the ones I'm mainly looking at)
Also would be interested in an MJ HSH Mahogany one too.
Only interested in stuff...
Oooof... that sucks.
RE the schecter --- I really wish they would do a bit of a darker finish on the back of the SLS Elite's, the light wood with the darker front half always looks weird to me.
I enjoyed mine while I had it --- great at home practice tool especially if you have to be quiet. Did a ton of recording with it. Definitely has its quirks and the profile rabbit hole runs very, very deep but its a great piece of gear. Enjoy
Excellent actor - always had a ton of presence in the scenes he was in, been watching him in shows since 2001 - Oz, the Wire, Fringe, Bosch… damn good performances in all of those. For a dude that excelled in serious police commander type roles he was also really damn funny dude too - his...
Rube Goldberg created the design for moving the stones & creating the pyramids itself in an unpublished strip in his The Inventions of Professor Lucifer Gorgonzola Butts series in the 1940's, after sitting on them for a number of years he found himself creating a needlessly complex time machine...
The EII Eclipses I've played have been just as good as the old standard series Eclipse I have. The original series ESP (the ones they make now with ESP on the headstock) are a step above in quality for sure. LTD wise the higher end models (1000 series) are what I would go for if you're...
Size isn’t too different just the picking point sticks out a bit longer. If you want to try one of these Ibanez I can send a heavy pick and extra heavy pick in an envelope to you if you’re in the USA no cost let me know
I think adding skateboard grip tape would be a good move, or scratching your pick up with an exacto knife / razor might address the slipping issue.
Ibanez has a pick series that is similar to the Dunlop flows in shape but slightly more pointy and has a sand paper / grip tape styled treatment...
The easiest way is to join an existing band, play your ass off and impress people, and network. If you’re not going that route, network at local shows of bands playing styles in the same wheelhouse of what you’re interested in. Introduce yourself and chat a bit, before parting ways casually ask...
pandemic wasn’t kind to them for sure. They’re supposedly still active but on a couple of the Atomic Amplifire pages on FB people are complaining about long waits on repairs or answering emails. The main guy they employed that was responsive and very active on their social media & sharing lots...
Another spot to keep an eye on is sweetwater’s alternate eBay account Jeffsmusicgear (the one they use for returns they can’t sell on their site). Any wear is meticulously photographed and you can usually score a mostly mint condition guitar with a small mark for below half the new price because...
I’ll preface my post with the fact that I like Caparison guitars. The MSRP on them is very high for what you get in my opinion ($3100 new for that guitar is a joke) and people lately have been pricing them very high used. That finish for the fx-am’s doesn’t look all that good in person and I...
They work great, it’s amazing tool for recording in the studio and just never having to re-tune take after take, works great live where you basically tune at the beginning of your set and you’re good to go for the rest of your set
The downsides
- if you change tunings a lot on the guitar loaded...
