This guy, in all my years of listening to people play Hendrix stuff or copy Hendrix stuff or whatever, this guy is the best I’ve ever seen and there’s a couple of reasons for that.
I’ve seen Randy Hansen as far back as 1978 a couple times and a few times after that. He’s really good but he’s...
But if it’s a tribute Van Halen band, you’re taking your pants off with the excitement and they have to play the correct exact solos otherwise it’s a disappointment
These shows have always been a joke.
There are guys out there who could really entertain an audience doing the Jimi stuff, but Experience Hendrix puts on the same suspects.
Funny, nobody questions the absolute decimation of Jimi tunes, but God forbid at a VH Tribute or Ozzy send-off someone...
Show was a joke, IMO, BUT...... while evrybody is praising Nuno and a few others for "nailing" whatever solos, all I can say is- f&cking Tony Iommi.
Somebody uploaded the Sabbath set in great quality. I grabbed it and the video got taken down. It's on my FB page. I can't upload it here.
Iommi...
Always been a fan of Vernon and Living Colour. I will agree he had no business being at an Ozzy tribute. Neither did a lot of other bands/ guitarists.
I was most impressed by Tony Iommi.
I could see why the band is called Tool. They all look like a bunch of fucking tools. The sound sucks. You’re salivating at the guitarist’s gear like it’s anything special. You can’t even hear the fucking guy, he’s not even audible.
They sound like the men’s room in a Taco Bell after being...
Well, sweep picking is the least of my worries. I don’t like the sound of it, and would never spend time attempting it.
One of the things I can’t do, and it seems every eight year-old schoolboy in Guitar Center has it mastered, is chugging along on the A string while hitting chords underneath...
Saw them in 1980. What’s a killer show.
Halford came out on stage on a Harley. The Harley was loud thru the PA system.
He got off the bike and “sprayed” the audience with loud Machine Gun fire. My friend ducked. We still talk about it to today. What a killer way to open a show.
Not working on songs. What I am trying to do is decipher the late Mark Hitt's playing style. I cannot get a handle on any pattern or note groupings.
Shitty quality vid but he was just on another playing field.
She went to my high school, Lindenhurst high school on Long Island. My friend graduated with her.
I saw her husband Neil when he was in Rick Derringer’s band.
