Judas Priest 1984

This the show it happened at ? That’s what you’re saying ?
Only if Madison Square Garden is located on the LA sunset strip. :p

The deal about the '84 MSG show was that the fans went crazy and tore out most of the seats, leading to Judas Priest being banned there.
Infamous? Sure. Typical rock 'n roll mid 80's debouchery? You bet. Worthy of a 'yikes'? Maybe, if you're into seat upholstery. Otherwise, 'meh'. :censored:😉

This ‘84 tour rolled into the Niagara Falls NY convention center (1/2 hr from home) when I had just turned 13 and had absolutely no way of getting there dammit 😢

Saw them in 1980. What’s a killer show.
Halford came out on stage on a Harley. The Harley was loud thru the PA system.
He got off the bike and “sprayed” the audience with loud Machine Gun fire. My friend ducked. We still talk about it to today. What a killer way to open a show.

Awesome , I've got a few bootlegs from the 1980 British Steel tour and they are killer , classic Priest

Would it ruin the album if I told you that British Steel could have been a great porn name for Halford, if he went up a different path?

The movie was called Turbo Lover Starring British Steel

Somehow, 'Rod' should be part of the name as well. And his Turbo Lover co-star Dick 'Stache...

at the time, probably fond of little Traci L, also went up a different path. \:D/

"And?" nothing, Mr. Strong-comeback. :geek:
Clearly you and Techdeth were talking about two very different things; one being a venue's upholstery being torn, the other one being Jani Lane's 'upholstery' possibly being torn. The 2nd one took place in LA, not MSG, NY.

Correct, and I thought you were talking about the incident at MSG.

Well, since you used 'Yikes', I felt such an exclamation was more in place for that LA upholstery probing/tearing, that's all. 😉

The deadpan way in which I meant it didnt carry well into text. I had a stroke and sometimes I have a hard time getting my point across. Sorry 'bout that.
