Keep in mind I am a high gain freak, not a mid ghain guy
1 the noise floor does seem higher on modules, but also maybe not or not as much as you would think. Many of the modules go into extreme levels, not sure if the noise is any higher than say a 5150 amp variant. Dial the OD to moderate...
I like tube amps, Kemper, and synergy. It's all inspirational.
The synergy sounds great as long as you have a proper power section- for me that means big glass for modern rock/metal.
FWIW, I love the SLO module, thought maybe I should get a slo? Then I hear clips a/bing the syn slo vs the...
so I've been playing for decades now and never learned any of those popular boomer blues licks...so I jumped into that tonight, the old I iv v iv I vii improv jam. I suck at it. But with more training, I fancy myself like Jack Butler walking into my local open mic night & shredding the stage...

I moved out of state and, along with Covid, really struggling to find others to jam with who have...
Time for some lineup changes
James voice sucks- need a new vocalist
Kirk solos mostly suck- gone
Lars- yuck, gone

It seems to react like when I had the DMoll. I saw Ola with that mid cut up past noon and it sounded great, but for me that near unplayable, too much mid scoop.
Sweetspot for me is to crank the mids knob up from 1 to 3 oclock then mid cut between 9-10 oclock ish. On the amp could you footswitch...
