I also lower 240hz on my Marks similar to how yours is set for in-the-room tones. I've tried the classic V and it always sounds too muddy and congested. Recorded it will really depend on a number of factors but I'll run mine a bit higher.

Up for sale is my FX8 Mark II in excellent condition. I've absolutely loved this unit, and have used it strictly in 4CM with my tube amps. It has zero tone suck, and is at the top of its class in this regard. It also has relay switching which you will not find on the more recent modelers...
Another thumbs up for the Herbie. I have a Mark III and it's turned into one of my all time favorite amps. It's definitely mid heavy but like @VESmedic I've found scooping mids with an EQ in the loop is far superior to the mid cut feature. Channel 2+, add a boost of your choice and it's just a...
Plus god knows how much in shipping lol.
I've been selling on Reverb like crazy this fall. Everything I post on here and TGP also goes on Reverb for a bit higher price, and it sells. There's just a huge pool of buyers on Reverb, and the platform makes it super easy. I ship everything via Pirate...
I'm glad to see this has sold, and for an absolutely killer price. I messaged Clint soon after he posted because I had literally just put a deposit down with Jason for an Alta 100 the previous day. Timing is a bitch more often than not, and I'm sorry to read about your situation Clint. Hopefully...
Nice interview, thanks for sharing. I purchased a Key and the Gate direct from Daniel a couple years ago and he was awesome. I'm glad to see him getting into amps and building some unique features. It would have been helpful to ask about pricing and timeframes.
SOLD
Up for sale is my MW-1 in mint condition. This needs no introduction and is the gold standard for reamping in the studio. The boost circuit is also phenomenal. I bought this with the intention of doing a bunch of recording and just don't have time. This unit will ship in the original box...

Damn man, I was probably at that same show! Damaging your hearing is one of the most disappointing things that can happen. Luckily my tinnitus is mild but my hyperacusis is the big downer...it was years in the making, but one particular Gojira show really did me in.
You mentioned 11 Wizards...
Try spending some time moving your cab around your room and playing. Really try as many locations as possible, even out in the middle of the room. Also try changing your position in relation to the cab. My studio space sounds pretty good with all the acoustic treatment I've built, but I still...
Well it sounds pretty good to me...and I like the 3 independent EQ's plus per channel presence. It doesn't really jump out to me as outstanding but it could be much better in person. Congrats to Mr. Tremonti.
They are going to sell a lot of these at that price, and that's awesome because in a...
Update - I can happily report that my claim was successfully paid out! Here's how it all went down:
As I mentioned before, Shipsurance is the third party company providing the shipping insurance, and Pirate Ship acts as the middle man between Shipsurance and the shipper. I filed my claim and...
From Nerd Wallet:
"Is there a PayPal refund fee?
PayPal doesn't charge any new fees when you issue a refund. However, you won't get back any of the processing fees you already paid.
For example, let’s say you need to refund a $100 purchase made online. Based on PayPal’s current fees for...
Check your Paypal account man, I think if you refund a goods/services payment then you have to eat the fees paid on the original transaction. I hope I'm wrong but I think this is the new Paypal way.
Jason's demo is here. I think it sounds killer and has a really cool feature set. I don't know if I can pony up $4k for it though.
Edit - after shipping and tax, you're looking at $4,400+. That is a chunk of fucking dough.
