$550 local pickup Denver, CO
Up for sale is my beloved EVH 4x12 in excellent condition. This cab has not been gigged and has seen studio use only (smoke and pet free). The grill cloth is in pristine shape and overall this cab has been extremely well taken care of.
Inside are the original...
No because contrary to what a lot of people think, it's not JUST about the tone. Firing up a tube amp, turning a few knobs, and getting a walloping is an experience that is unique to physical amps. It feels good to our human perceptions to have the real thing and physically play it. I'm not here...
Yep, Scott is the man! He made me a head shell for my IIB+ and god damn it looks sharp (sweet amp too).
I scored my IVb a few years ago for $1300 just before prices jumped. Sent it to Mike B for a cap job and now it's a lifer. Always wanted to try the IVa but not in too much of a hurry...
Yeah I hear you man, nostalgia is a wonderful thing IMO because it commands such an emotional connection. Plus guitars can be ugly as sin and still kill it, not disputing that!
I'm currently using an FX8 for all of my time-based effects and it sounds killer. However, for goosing the input of my amps I've always gone with a traditional OD pedal as I figured keeping things analog up front would be more in line with my preferences.

Josh Middleton is a beast of a guitar player...although I just read that he has parted ways with Architects to focus on Sylosis again. This is exciting news because I agree it sounds a little too trendy/softcore for my tastes. Edge of the Earth is a bit long winded but has some real stunners and...
For a 1x12 this is the correct answer. I've been down this rabbit hole, including buying a thiele cabinet with EVM12L. That was a cool setup but had too many tonal comprimises for me. In the end all I really needed was an EQ in the loop.
Granted I'm not constantly flipping gear, but this seems to be true unfortunately. All this nuanced discussion about how we word our listings is probably irrelevant IMO. If someone really wants a piece of gear and your price is ballpark fair, you're gonna sell the shit even if it takes some back...
Nice, I had a Purple Nightmare that I regret selling. If you are loving that power section then I say just stick with it, and it becomes a good excuse to keep the head. Also I say skip the LXII and get the 2/90/2. You'll probably end up buying the 2/50/2 as well lol.
Sorry if you mentioned it already, but what power amp are you running your Axe III into? Have you tried running it into the FX return of various heads and noticed any difference in quality or clarity?
I have to admit, a few years ago I splurged on a pair of power amps (2150 and Classic XXX)...
