I'd agree with that.. Jack Black had to do damage control for his buddy. Regardless of political leanings, it is insane that people ( at the time) were cheering on an assassination attempt. However in looking to now, I can see why so many people were cheering but it still doesn't make it right...
It is pretty cool that they recreated the look and feel of that after hours show they did with Randy and tried to even match the live off the board rather than overdubs. ( though his voice is likely overdubbed)
lol I never thought of that. I like the guy and think he is permanently running off cocaine and coffee but you make a strong point. Always with the kid movie angle... but hey, it's possible for people not to be pedos but like to spend time with kids right?? You know, like MJ
I will say this though. Morello is at least a big fan and he was rocking a RR shirt so he knows when respect is due. Also, on his own merit, that guy was an innovator. He grooves hard in Rage and I respect the hell out of him. That band is a force and made for live shows. He gets a pass. Reid...
I would say it looks like it was the Nuno show. Thank god for that guy. Zakk just looks so ridiculous.. would it kill that guy to square off that beard, keep long hair and just wear jeans? I thought Ozzy looked pretty bad and sang badly from what I saw. Great career, it's time now. This show...
What a mess...sounds more like he is trying to channel Rainbow and that frantic spazzy shit Blackmore started doing. The tone was also terrible and solo rushed which goes back to my point about him being a sloppy Yngwie.
I think Yngwie would make Stump look silly and like an imitator. For starters, he isn't as clean as Yngwie where picking is concerned and he's sloppier where certain runs are concerned. He's a good player but I'd say a guy like James Byrd was a cleaner player and had some individuality. Stump...
I'm waiting to see what dates will be on a North American tour. Saw clips from that show, holy shit what a crowd! also what a performance.. I can't believe how Bruce can still bring it. He makes sure to hit the high parts where he needs to and still has power. Band is dialed in. Janick sucks but...
Honestly yes. I like em.. not ALL the demos obviously but they have accomplished what they set out to do. The core tone of the amp and a bit more. It's not gonna chug properly or do down tuned Metal but it will hit a lot of those modded MArshall tones. The pricetag sucks though.
I kind of like the song in a cheesy closeted fun boy' way but there is zero question that the song and video are G A Y as gay can be. Tell me there's no otttthhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaa... we hold each other closer, as we head to overdrive... lol come on man. Talk about making someone your bottom, sounds...
I've recently gone through a similar dilemna and end of day, just double up any of two mics. I also am an I5 guy on snare but dig a 57 paired with something (anything) else for the rest. So go VR-1 + 57 and don't look back. Focus on the performance.
I agree that the album overall falls flat and is full of stinkers but there are 3 or 4 on there which I think are solid. Maybe a little too much chorus on stuff which they dialed back on Painkiller but works for the song. But you guys aren't wrong.. the stinkers REALLY blow.
