This ^ it made a big improvement in my Strat. I went with the Callaham Base Plate and Brass Block with Highwood saddles.

I got mine from Mojotone. I did get some cloth wire for my Special to color coordinate from Tube Depot.

I have a Boss GE-7 modded by Modest Mike that stays on all the time in the Loop. I purchased an MXR 10 Band in the silver box thinking it would be better with the 3 extra settings and a separate Volume/Gain. It looked way cool and sounded great but for some reason the modded GE-7 sounded better...

I'm pretty sure Joe Holmes used the J-80. I have one, had it in one of my Strats, sounded awesome. Here's a pic of it, I sent Eddy Lentz another one I had and that's the one he has in his 70's Strat.

Yeah, once I got my Special, it's been non stop playing. I did replace the stock Gibson pups with Motor City's and replaced all the wiring. Just love the P90 tone.
