Hello @hotguit . With the constraints you have and the wish of keeping your guitar signal out as much as possible from your effects units (thus running a wet/dry rig), you do not have much choice. The best is indeed splitting theTorpedo Live's Line ouput with a Y cable to go into the Rane.

Hello @ginwtoniic It might work (using a 6.3 mm (1/4″) TRS jack to 3.5 mm (1/8″) TRS jack cable), but usually the input of a computer is not balanced. You will have ground noise issue. Also you will have too much latency to play your amp through the Captor with a backing track.

Hello @vermouth13 , yes you can use the Captor with solid state amps. No you do not absolutely need an audio interface to use the Captor. The unit has an analogue speaker simulation which allows you to connect directly to your monitors, active speaker, the mixing desk.

Placing the TC after the LIVE is the best setup -use a TRS jack to XLR Male to connect the LIve's output to the TC's input. You will adjust the gain input in the TC so that it does not clip. The TC will output more or less the same level as the Live to your audio interface/mixing desk in that setup.
