The MP-1 is definitely a killer sounding preamp especially if you know how to dial in the preamp. If I hadn't purchased two of them as well as an MP-2 last year, then I would definitely be picking this one up :) GLWTS!!

I had picked up this Soldano preamp and the Fryette 2502 he was selling. The 2502 sounds killer with the X88 but I was hoping to get the 2902 since it has that lower end thunp!!

I have the PS-100 and it has saved me from selling amps that just needed to have the volume lowered for bedroom playing :) This PS-2A would be perfect for anyone thinking about selling that extremely loud amp with the killer tone!! GLWTS!!

Does anyone know what Rectifier the Synergy DRect is based upon? Is it a completely new version or based upon a previous one?

I think that amp would be my KSR Colossus since it covers a lot of territory for me. I would be using a Walrus Ages drive pedal in front of the amp when I wanted something slightly different.

I had ordered it on Black Friday and they didn't have it in stock. It was on sale though on GC and the other places didn't have it on sale. I figured it was worth the $60 savings to get it from GC backordered. However, I think that I need to recheck to see if it was actually on sale...

Thanks, I am looking forward to comparing the X88 to the Synergy SLO preamp module. I had ordered the SLO II but it's back ordered right now on GC so hopefully this will blow away the original SLO module where I can consider cancelling the GC order :)
