Yup... love 'em. The ONLY reason I don't use them anymore is because I ran into the Alnico Creams (which are much more expensive) and they are out of this world. Until that moment, I thought 65's were the best I had heard. They would pair just fine with the V30.

I converted my MIM SD-1 HT into a sort of Jake. Added a pick guard and it's close enough for me... don't care to upgrade the bridge saddles or tuners to get closer (plus, the input jack isn't on the top like the real Jake). I figured with the Pro-Mod they would just use a 22 fret neck. Kinda...

Hey all, Lifelong EMG user starting with the 85, to the 57/66, to the Het Set, and now Fat 55. There's a distinctive 'thing' about EMG that I love and dying to try out the Revelation Set as they are passive and that would be new for me! Seriously considering the Afterburner too, as the Fat 55...

^^^^^^^^ Thanks! I know, right? The 55 sounds almost thin compared to the Het Set or the 57/66, but in the mix, it sounds so open and full. Dying to try out the other Retroactives and the Marty Friedman set.

I saw them twice on the AJFA tour... absolutely unleashed, tethered to nothing but their own instincts. Raw, dirty, and fucking absolutely powerful.
