This is what AmEx is for. We pay for a lot of stuff with the AmEx and then just pay that in full the next statement period. You get a lot more protection through them and it has other benefits especially if you fly Delta.
That’s how I read it, and you would think it should be illegal otherwise since it would be changing the terms of an already established agreement, I’m just endlessly suspicious of these cocksuckers and any ambiguous language they use.
I have used these promotions to buy a number of things just because of the way I was doing my budget. I give myself a certain amount of monthly expense out of cash flow for music related stuff, so while it’s kind of half a dozen of this, six of that, sometimes I’d do the interest free payment...
Not that I’ve played mass amounts of them, but the ones I have tried that just have the stop tail bridge all had sharp 3rd string intonation. Obviously you just have to replace it with one that’s compensated or adjustable, I’m just saying it’s dumb and cheap as hell to begin with.
Dude yours looks like it has the real wraparound bridge with the actual compensated “saddle” cut-ins, so of course yours is going to be better. I’m talking about the ones that just have a slanted, smooth stop tail bar as a bridge like most Jr’s and this epiphone.
I’ll believe it when I play it. I like Jr’s in theory and I like the TV Yellow even but I’ve never picked one up that had good enough intonation for me.
Bob Rock said when James came to him wanting to be able to sing better during the Black album recording, he put on a Chris Isaak CD and asked how to sing like that. So I think we need AI James singing Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing.
It’s a Gibson, they made I think 275 of them. They were a Les Paul Standard Limited Edition run in manhattan midnight with a flame top, ebony board and white binding. I wanted one of those things so bad and couldn’t afford at the time in my early 20’s.
Marcus and Andre have always been big inspirations/influences to me and Marcus has pretty good taste. I always wanted one of those early 2000’s LP Limiteds in blue flame with the white binding and ebony board like he used to play on stage all the time.
I agree I don’t like the Solar logo inlay...
Nope, not just you. Obviously the material your pick is made from has an effect on the sound, just like if you start playing with your fingers you’ll get a dull sound from your flesh and a bright sound from your nails.
Ultex is brighter but Tortex is not dark and seems to emphasize a midrange...
I use their 9-46 sets on strats, 10-46 on teles and gibsons, and the 11-50 on the tele I have set up for alternate and slide tunings. I really like ‘em.
I also like the standard D’Addarios on some guitars where I want the full brightness on the top end. I tend to like “light top/heavy bottom”...
Never tried the PRS but I’ve seen this dude play them a lot in his videos:
The thing with acoustics is a lot of them are going to have wider nuts and flatter fretboards. Some guitar manufacturers make multiple versions of the same model with different nut widths, so you have to really look at...
I’d love to hear how this turns out for you at Righteous. I have a couple guitars that I have been thinking about taking there. One needs a refret and another is a set neck that has developed a bit of fretboard ramping over the body that I hope a plek can figure out how to deal with.
I would think two tubescreamers is going to sound real honky or noisy in a metal context but I don’t know, never done it and I don’t have two tubescreamers. I do sometimes run a MXR Fat Sugar (klon-based) into a Tubescreamer type pedal though. Set right you can get a lot of saturation and...
