I had a TC100. It's a pretty unique amp. For thrash type stuff or leads it's fantastic. The harmonics are ridiculous. But, it lacks in the low end department, and when the low end is present its too smeared and flubby for me. I still wish I had not sold it sometimes, but I wasn't really using it.

Depending on how bad they are sticking out, tolex might not be out of the question. Just might not look the best at a few spots. There are also tons of other vinyl and fabric options too that would probably work. If you really want to go cheap and easy, you could always try speaker box carpet.

I have yet to find a demo of the Badlander that sounds good to me. Even in some of the better demos, it's still lacking some of the "thickness" that I have come to expect of a Recto. I'm glad I didn't buy one.
