What little bit I've tried my CE2W with some gain, it's super noisy also. I run it after the phase, od's & fuzz.
The clean sounds are to die for though. If it's your thing in that arena, you'll know it the second you switch it on.
I hope this means the next big trend in music is people not faking performances anymore.
The only time that should ever be acceptable is when filming a music video for a band, where it’s obvious what everyone is doing. If you can’t play it live within a handful of takes, practice & try again later.
I had quite a few over the years, and they were all solid guitars. Great for when I was in my twenties, playing dive bars & wanted a good instrument that I didn't feel the need to worry too much about.
I still have a couple of LTD eclipses & a maverick.
Yeah, he's had quite a few models that...
Taylor swift came into a local dive bar my band was playing at, had her entourage set up a Marshall stack & toss her a Charvel. She completely embarrassed me in a shred-off, Crossroads style.
These caught my eye when they were released a few years ago, but the price tag for an LTD lost my interest quickly. This one showed up locally on FB marketplace, I was able to make a very reasonable deal, & the seller offered to meet me right across the street from where I work. The overall...
Cobra & Mark IV was what I thought they'd used on that, but it's been years since I read up on it.
I remember seeing the live around that time, they had a cobra on one side and a mesa on the other, I can't recall which one Mark or Willy was playing. Shortly after that, when Ashes came out...
I bought mine new after hearing KSE use them live, and it was my main live rig for the better part of 10 years. Something different than the 5150 & Mesa setups everyone had back then, and the clean channel was better. I've actually been thinking, I may try to use it with my current band. If it...
I know they used them live, I think they may have played them on Palaces Burn.
I actually cranked up my old Cobra the other day. Fingers crossed; I’ve mine since ‘04 with no issues.
Lots of folks can learn & recite Prince guitar parts. But when it comes the whole package writing, arranging, singing, choreographing, & showmanship, recording every instrument songs as a teenager that people still listen to almost 50 years later; few people will ever come close.
I've experimented with it on & off over the years, pretty much exclusively when jamming at home. I've never been able to dial in that sound, in a way that I thought was particularly useful.
Some of the Zakk Wylde live recordings from the 90's have a lot of it going on, and it worked quite well.
For the longest time, I've only used lower gain sounds to for practicing & trying to keep my technique clean, on stuff I'd ultimately play with with the gain cranked. The past year or so though, I've really gotten to where I enjoy some of those sounds. A sign turning 40 maybe?!?
Anyone else on...
Yes.
I’ve wanted one for a long time, just never went out of my way to get one. Found this locally for a very reasonable price.
I actually like the middle pickup that no one uses.
