Hmm, I just got one and yeah the blue channel is pretty dark. I think I'll try this mod and see what happens. I want to use the blue for more like classic rock. The clean is actually pretty clean and the red is almost too heavy, but it's good for solos and stuff. :checkthisout:

It's got a good vintage tone to it and seems to love pedals right in the front end (all I ever run is maybe an OD and a delay).

That's good. Bass and drums are always the hardest for me to get a good punchy mix on. I'm still old school though and record on an old crispy Alesis HD24. Someday I'll get up to speed and do some computer recording.
