I recently bought a second hand VH4, probably a 2009. Last week I noticed that the midi-switching doesn't respond as it should anymore. I can go to channel 1 without a problem, but when I select one of the other 3 channels, it goes to that channel, but I can't change it to another one of those...

I only have it when loop 2 is not engaged,which I find odd. you could be right actually. Would the ground lift on the axe fx (which is in the loop) resolve this?

You use loop 2 then? serial/parallel?? I get a hum when I use loop 2 on parallel, and loop 2 is not activated. that's why I'm asking.
