Yeah it's definitely got a similar feel. The controls feel a bit different though, it look likes on the IICP they've made some changes to the EQ or circuit to make it easier to dial in. For example, the IICP sounds great without the GEQ engaged while a real Mark series will be pretty nasal...

I must say the IICP module rips! Even compared to real IIC+ in the same room.

Well I have a PS2 (not sure if that qualifies as poorly engineered off-the-shelf reactive load, it is off-the-shelf but I don't have the qualifications to judge the engineering part) and to my ears the overall tone coming out of the cab improves as you drive the speakers up to a certain point...

I'm just talking about the tone of the speaker itself. The amp might be seeing the same response from the reactive load but the tone & feel of the speaker itself will vary with volume (and in my own experience it's a big part of the overall tone).

I've tried a few high end attenuators and Fryette PS2 is by a long shot the best one I've tried (all the other ones only sounded good when knocking off a few db, still too loud for home use). However, for the amps you have it will not help IMHO. I would only recommend it for amps where you need...

Didn't know there was supposed to be plates between the string and screw? None of my ESPs came with them (but bought them all used so of course doesn't mean much). If you don't mind could you share how they look like? That would be great if it would solve that issue!

Weak point in the Sinclair imho are the studs and the string locking mechanism. Have gotten multiple strings breaks at the bridge right where the screw contacts the strings. You have to really tighten the screws hard to avoid it coming loose or slipping but at the same time that increases...

Ok - thanks a lot for the details man. I'll fit a Floyd from another guitar and see what kind of adjustments need to be made. Seems like the routes on these can vary quite a bit depending production year, model etc. so good on trying out beforehand. I guess the block size will also be important...

And have you fitted OFRs to non-recessed ESPs? If yes, how is the fit? I would think the bridge will be a lot closer to the body but not sure how much clearance is left?
