You can add Bogner to the list. I tried to sell my Alchemist for $600 for a long time. I got an email from a fella saying I know your amp's worth $600 but I have $500, will you sell it? I told him to come and get it.
I think I never mentioned it but I am hearing impaired and I wear hearing aids in both ears. Yes, I play guitar and I'm slightly tone deaf but I "hear" on my stomach, feeling the vibrations.
I was a self employed convenience auto mechanic. I go around places and work on their cars while they...
Man, I never knew the pressure you guys take. I'm glad I'm only a hobby player and I can't remember more than 12 songs now. I'm getting old duh.
Good read though Pete.
The two boxes you showed are (1) minor and (2) major pentatonic shapes as seen in the CAGED system. If you start on 5th fret 6th string with the two boxes you showed then you have your (1) Am minor and (2) A major pentatonics.
This thread made me take a look in my Bogner Alchemist 112. Knowing that it's a MIC amp the V30 is gonna be MIC.
I looked at the label and I have:
T3903A
V30 8 ohm 50 05MT
China
Anyway it sounded good to me.
I have my Bogner Alchemist 112 biased at 50%, any hotter and I'll have heat issues. Matter of fact it sounds more open than at 60% where it sounded husky but sweet and get hot. I'm using SED winged Cs.
My first choice was the Blackstar HT-40 before I got the Alchemist. It seems they're always sold out or the shippings are delayed but I didn't want to wait for 'em.
Check out the Bogner Alchemist 112. Pretty straightforward amp with the usual knobs plus switches under the knobs for added tonal flavors like crunch, bright, deep on clean channel and punch, bright, mid-shift on dirt channel. Built in delay and reverb with 3 functions each plus a tap tempo...
I had an Agile AL3000 LP. Good construction, decent hardware and plays well but dull sounding. Did some pup swaps and only improve it some but still stuck with the wood. Put in EMGs and they took the wood out of the equation and it did better. 3 years later the neck warped. Oh well.
Thanks and I stand corrected. :D
Do you always use 22 watts for calculations no matter what's the max wattage of the tube?
Under this formula I'm at 68% dissipation at idle, would that be correct?
