I really like the way that MarkIV sounds! I was surprised to see he was using a rectifier cab. I'm assuming it was an OS cab.
This was pretty cool also.

Those are nice!
I don't have one of those and I hope this doesn't make me a bad person since I'm not a fan of breaking the guitars up (kind of joking) but I do have one of those necks. I took off the blue logo and replaced it with a black logo because I wanted a rosewood fretboard. I've got it...
Yeah, the acoustic sound was great! I played it at church for a while and I'll never forget the mediocre guitar player with the super expensive Taylor (because EVERYBODY played Taylors) who got totally ticked off when my Parker sounded better. To be fair, I was a lot better at setting the eq...
You know something else that bugged me about my Parker? When I was beginning to seriously question whether or not I liked the guitar I did an internet search to see what famous guitar players were using them. Reeves Gabrels was the only one I could find. I took that as a bad sign.
Also, the...
I had one of the original Parker Niteflys. The piezo acoustic pickup sounded great. I thought the magnetic pickups/electric guitar part sounded kind of like an acoustic run through an amp. Not completely, but some of that sound mixed in. I had two friends with regular Parkers and they ended up...
I've picked up several of the USA pro-mods made in the same time frame that are really clean like that. The paranoid side of me thinks "What's wrong with this guitar that it never got played?" but they turned out to be great guitars. Now I'm guilty of having more guitars than I can put wear and...
"EL84, Voxy and Marshally" makes me think of a Peavey Classic 50 (or 30 I guess but I have the 50). You should be able to get one of those fairly cheap.
I've got one of the original sunburst, maple neck guitars. The neck is definitely different than a lot of strats. It bigger with a flatter fretboard. I'd suggest checking one out before you buy it. I think it's a great guitar.
I've never played a Govan but I own an Axis and some Charvel Pro Mods and the necks are fairly different. That would probably be my biggest question about them because they both play and sound great. The Axis neck can feel a little too cramped when I'm playing up high although it is super easy...
Yea, I'll be ordering the mounting studs. Is there anything I should be aware of before I order? I would think it''s pretty standard. It's going in a Charvel USA So Cal.
Some of the hardware was loose along with the screws for the retainer bar. The only piece actually fastened down was the locking nut.
On the Guitar Center site for example, it has this listed as the features list which made me think it comes with wood screws and mounting studs:
Features...
Does anyone know if the 1984 tremelo comes with the mounting stud and insert as pictured below?
I ordered one of these to put on a Charvel and it only had the wood screw type in the box. I was sent a previously opened box, even though it was supposed to be new, so I didn't know if it was...
I started on some cheap pawn shop guitar my dad bought for us to start on then saved up my money for this...
Not a bad guitar to learn on!
I thought I was so cool when I saw Back to the Future!
