No kidding!
I wanted to say there's a bunch of old farts on here but then I got confused. Would an old fart be complaining about it or would an old fart want it for nostalgia? :dunno:
Either way, life must be pretty good if this is what gets you worked up.
I have mostly old stuff. :dunno:

Like a vintage Tube Screamer on steroids! All-analog design by Bob Weil and Joe Naylor uses the JRC4558 IC chip to deliver tube-sounding overdrive with more available clean boost, more...
I don't think I've ever seen one of those in real life. I remember my mom getting upset at me because they said they were going to take away my guitar (RG440) after I got arrested. I immediately said that I was going to get one of the Proline PL1770 to replace it. They ended up letting me keep...
I believe all the USA So-Cals came with Tone Zones in the bridge and Evolutions in the neck.
Here is an old review of one.

WOW! That's the trick isn't it? I had never really thought about it before so I checked ebay for hard tail strats and it looks like they are all squier bullets or really expensive. Then I checked for Charvels since they started making hard tail models but no luck with those either.
There was only one I paid around a grand for.
I have:
San Dimas USA: Black, Taxi Cab Yellow
So Cal USA: Slime Green, Candy Green, Pagan Gold, Tangerine, Plum,
Primer Scream Wildcard #7
Still need white, black, and pink at least.
Not a fan of the red ones. :dunno:
Don't know the answer to your question, but...
The entire setup needs to be good for it to work no matter what tremolo you use. I have an stock Eric Johnson Strat with a vintage style tremolo that was set up at Glaser's in Nashville. That guitar stays in tune extremely well!
