I agree, it just has a top end that’s a little too fizzy IMO. Curious about his mods, there’s a local VH4 with a compression mod for sale. Guess it wasn’t a game changer since I’ve seen it up a few times in the same city.

Thanks man! I am interested to see if these could be achieved with an Eq pedal (maybe not the down position). I do run an EQ in front of mine for further tweaking. A little trick if you have one, slightly scoop the 500hz on an EQ in front of the input, run the mid-boost in low mid-position, and...

Of course these amps sound great in E standard but downtune/ERG guys should honestly be signing up for Henrics amps these are perfect for low tunings, with the tightness. Here’s a quick Mesa clip from messing around today

You kinda hit a point I think people don’t realize with these amps, that they can be tight and clanky but they really don’t have to be. Congrats man, lots of dialing and tones to discover yet How’s the clean channel??

Mostly modern metal. A bit of progressive hard rock as well, I am not an old-school guy if that's what you're into

BE Cab with the greens/v30s is great if you’re looking at newer production cabs. I use it with my Hermansson Marshall, plenty of lows and mids, bit of a high end roll of which can be compensated with the amp
