Your Axe I/O One purchase came with a license of ToneX SE and Amplitube SE. You actually got both 'free' by buying the interface.
The CS versions are just the free versions. You dont need those since you got the SE versions. SE takes precedence over CS.
The ToneX versions go from the free...
I find sometimes the downloads stall in IK Product manager. I generally just pause it for about 15 seconds, and then unpause. That gets it moving again.
I just installed 2 TB with it a few weeks ago and got it all installed OK.
As mentioned above, when you purchase a collection from IK it will automatically show up because it is authorized through the product manager.
You only have to manually import presets when you buy them from outside sources and you just drag them into the program.
The Document folder is mostly...
IK Multimedia is like other music software companies. I know my Native Instruments Synths and Samplers are the same way. You dont just get zip files these days. You have to have their software that authorizes your purchases on your machine, and then you install through that management software...
I have most of all these high gain modules also, and some others. I agree that the poweramp makes a huge difference to the overall tone. I dont really think they are a replacement for having the original amps since you would really need each matching poweramp. However, they are a great way to...
That is how I was. I was using an old i3 8GM RAM laptop I have had for years for my music stuff. It was stuck in the cycle of saying I need to upgrade to Win 11, and then saying it did not meet the minimum specs to upgrade to Win 11.
I finally just got a new PC, but it is way higher spec. i7...
It depends on if you use it in pedal mode, or in interface mode. I would probably only use it in interface mode while I am sitting at the computer, and transfer my results to the pedal when I am ready to take the sounds with me somewhere else.
I think if you have used synth programs, or general plugins from synth or recording companies, then the UI makes sense. For guitar-only people it can be confusing.
Luckily he will only have the interface. I think ToneX is easier to use on the computer with an interface. When people try to start...
Despite the sounds, I would really look at devices that have good computer editors with librarians. If you want 20 banks of 20 sounds or similar, you are really going to need a way to dial that in, keep track of the sounds, and be able to back up and modify easily.
I am not even a huge Van Halen tone person, but I did the 30 minute Demo last night and I liked this collection enough that I bought it. It is a lot different than my normal chugga tones, but it is just so fun to play. It is fat, but not mushy, and dynamic and sustaining, although not that...
The early original Blackjacks came stock with the JB/59.
I have considered picking up an OG Blackjack C1 for years. That is back when the Hellraiser and the Blackjack were the only 2 main series they offered.
