Morse player here and I must say I really like it. the guy I play with has an ENGL SE EL34 and I have always loved it ...but the last time I played with him he just kept getting lost in the mix, my mids kept cutting through him.
CH3 mids take some time to dial in with the lo mid and hi mid...
The amp is an ENGL e656 Steve Morse signature.
Well here's my unfortunate story of habbit caused disaster? ...i just got home from band practice where i use a Marshall Mode Four MF280B, 16 ohm cab, and i began to set up rig up for home practice. At home i use an Egnater Tourmaster 2x12, 8 ohm...
i was going to mention something like that ...i use a Rocktron Patchmate 8 and a Rocktron MidiMate for my setup, i really like it and it's cheaper than a GCX setup. though i digress if you have a BE100 i am not sure cost is a huge issue
my understanding is that GC/MF dropped Bugera due to stocking and payment issues? weird, maybe they sorted that out?
(if you weren't aware Guitar Center, Musicians Friend, and various other companies all use the same stock)
that and here's a video of a guy walking you through it... i imagine amps with out corners could be a pain to do pretty cleanly?

yeh, i was impressed with the Renegade. i went to find a 2x12 cab to keep around the house. i wanted Orange but after playing the Tourmaster 2x12 i was sold on it. i played the cab with a Renegade, i had no intentions on buying another amp head that day but it came home with me anyways haha!
i say the JCM2000 TSL100 suffers from the Krank mentality. for some reason people go into them not wanting to like them, mix that with 1 bad review on a reputable forum by someone who just didn't know how to dial one in and you get this notion that they're all crap.
funny to me how people bash...
i should not have sold my Marshall 2203KK ...Kerry King signature JCM800. i would have never let it go if you could have foot switched the mods in and out like the YJM100
AGREED!
i hate when people demo a 4 channel amp, like an ENGL Invader, and say it has a Clean, a "Crunch" or "rhythm" and 2 lead channels. how cute, 2 lead channels, now try playing a 7 string or an ERG on that "crunch" channel and see if you have enough gain.
i bought mine new, few months later it had a terrible microphonic sound. i replaced all the preamp tubes, thought one was bad so why not put some good JJ's in it. when it was up and running again, same microphonic tube sound...
turns out it was a ribbon cable that came loose on the board...
interesting because i have heard the exact opposite on some other forums. specifically those who play ERG's. i am playing a 7 string in A# and i love my Rockerverb 100 MKII ...just wish it had a presence control. i want just a little bit less so i have been using a BBE Sonic Maximizer as my...
people never use it because of the coloring, honestly that's why i won't use it live either haha, but the Egnater Tourmaster 2x12 sounds amazing. you can get them cheap, they have Celestion Elite 80 speakers in them and it can be sealed or vented, how could you ask for more versatility at a...
Albany?! sad i never got to see One King Down there. let's not mistake that as i have never seen them, love OKD! i assume a home town show would just be more fun (saw them multiple times when they played Wilkes Barre PA, where i am originally from)
nice! i LOVE how slim the necks are! pair that with the flat fretboards and it's a win win. been meaning to buy another JP that's not made of basswood.
does the GM36 have an actual choke? i would have imagined it would be a newer solid state design. large part of that being the space in the small box amp.
