I thought Wilder Amplification was working on a new chip for the Herbert to enable midi CC. They use to be on rig-talk but now they aren't, and i am not sure why. :confused:

I wasn't trying to be critical, I was only stating that people had made some changes to some of the Herbert amps (but not to the tone). I didn't realize he was talking about the tone. I do fully agree with his opinion of the Diezel tone, it is AWESOME.

I paid $2200 for my used Herbert. It was about 2 years old but still in awesome condition. I feel very fortunate to have it, at first I was going to buy the new Mesa Boogie V. But then a friend of mine offerd to sell me his Herbert. And to the person who mentioned that Diezels aren't being...

I like the body and flamed maple wood grain but I have to say the headstock isn't my favorite, however Joeytpg might be on to something. Sometimes, the less is more concept can be a big factor. ;)

I understand what you mean about Dime and Grady boosting the mids with the Blue MXR eq and then after the head, then scooping the out with a parametric eq. But I don't understand the "holt" part. :doh: RIP Dime :rock:

I am in the same boat that you just got out of, I just got my Herbert in December but I can only run it with my Carvin Legacy V30 4x12 cab. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to get the matching cab in the future.

Where did you get the mod instructions and parts needed for the mod?
