I used to run a 15 band in the loop for low end 100 hz boost and a 6 band up front for more of a mid boost.

When playing drums in my band, my drum monitor runs at 112db. Pretty loud. And the only hearing loss is at 4000hz in my right ear. And my monitor always sits to my left.

Some good opinions out there. I have had 6550's in itsince we built it, and was just curious as to what different power tubes would sound like. Thanks for all the replies! Thinking of trying some 34's and KT88's.

What are the tonal differences between Winged C EL 34's and 6550 power tubes? How would my amp change? I have a modded Marshall with 6550's in it now.

Are the Rocket Fuel and body blow that good? I never see any used ones for sale. That means only 2 things...they are that good that noone wants to get rid of them or nobody is buying them at all. Any input?

Steve, What are your settings? EQ, Depth mod? Just wondering cause my amp is similar and your clips sounds like it has a little more low end than mine. Just thinking it might be cam too. Thanks
