Yeah I was really shocked when I plugged it in! Was surprised something this small pushes the 4x12.
I was giving it everything it has.....and yet no mush. Stayed tight and defined.
I dont think I would trust this one alone with my kids though....its that evil.

I think that you should do something for the Recto. Id be all over that hahaha! I think amp mfg's need to start designing amps with removable/ exchangeable faceplates! I think Engl already started that with the retro series

Was talking to Oldskoolnj about that faceplate he made. Said he would help me when I was ready for something cool.
I had a Marshall in the past that had a clear plexiglass faceplate. Looked pretty cool when the tubes were glowing hot.
Custom face plate.....sweet idea.

What most impressed me is how it was full of gain...without sounding 'squishy'.....was still very tight and defined.
Most smaller amps just FUZZ right out when blasted. So distorted they sound bad.
I had everything on 10 for these clips.

Thanks guys I grew up as a wood worker but rebelled to auto mechanics

The carving was all my g.f's idea and it is Pumpkin King Jack from Nightmare before Christmas.
It was supposed to be her amp but now we fight over it so she doesnt take 100% ownership of it until I get a K88 from Dave which I think would look cool in a Lit clear acrylic head shell with a stained glass face..

Yeah Doug......like to hit you up on some design ideas. That "Pumpkin face" looks totally factory and you did a GREAT JOB on it!! Got some ideas tossing around for a faceplate on the recto. You will be the 1st to know.

Eric....if your looking for something very portable that kicks ass.....this is the one.
Ran it as a Pre-amp thru the Mesa power section and it was SLAMMING!
Been writing Dave from Baron amps and he has been super helpful answering all my questions very quickly.

Heck yeah! That sounds pretty awesome! And looks sweet too! These are great little amps and anyone looking for a small "lunchbox" amp should check one out. I was pretty impressed with how well they handle low tunings without getting all mushy. I'm running 7 & 8 strings through mine and it's still nice and tight. I'm gonna have to check it out through a power amp. I hadn't thought of that yet.

Mines not quite as evil or as pumpkin.
