possibly powere tube and or bias. also preamp tubes also make sure if your fx loop is active that your return vol is turned up. i will have to check mine to make sure but once you find the vol balance your there.

a switchable hbe channel is handy. cant see any problems in selling it. a few friedmans have special mods done here and there. my 2016 has the line out omitted and a lead master put in its place. loving me some friedman!!!!

no problem playing thrash thru my 2016 be 100. HBE will get you there and so will the sat switch. either should do the trick. hell even the be channel with the gain at 8 or higher will make you cream. the thing is the be 100 has all the gain but its very dynamic works great with the vol knob...

i got lead master mod on my 2016. replaces the line out jack and level knob. level knob now controls solo boost and the line out jack is the footswitch for solo. works on be and hbe modes. i also use the hbe and clean channels. i use the mid gain mode on the structure switch. vol on guitar...

i find there is a slight vol boost but not as much as gain. the perfect amount in my opinion.

dont forget to try the sat switch on the back. be 100 one fantastic amp.

BE100. agree with beandust everything else is an example of the BE 100.

give the SAT switch a try. i use a pa2 switch from emg for boost on my be 100. this switch installs on your guitar, works with passive or active pups.

yes . you can boost both BE and HBE. operates like the solo on boogie amps.

my 2016 be 100 has the solo boost mod. i purchased the amp used, so the original owner had it done by dave. dave removed the line out function and replaced it with a footswitchable solo boost. using the existing line out vol put as the solo boost control works great.

thats how it is suppose to operate. completely normal. my be 100 is the same.

i find myself using the hbe mode most with the gain rolled back to around 11 o clock. could i just use a single footswitch to switch between the clean and hbe channels? dont need to switch to the be mode. i got a footswitch just dont know if any harm could be done. i guess just a reg mono...
