YES! The 60's mode on my Fargen MPMKII was probably the only reason I held onto it once re-acquired a 2204. I freaking loved the 60's mode. Beano tone all day long. Beautiful thick blues Marshall tone through my Scumback M75. I find myself endlessly tweaking the JJ to try and get as close...
Is this something that is in the works???
Hybrid between the SS100 and JJ100?

While I love my JJ, an amp that does vintage as well as the SS and high gain as well as the JJ is my ultimate grail. Actually, that is why I bought the JJ, because it did both of those so well. A JJ...
I was hesitant too at first. Once you've got the back off, it takes about 5 seconds to switch a 12AX7's in between songs. I can attest that the NOS tubes do make a difference in the JJ. Whether or not that's worth it is up to you to decide.
I agree it's a great amp even without NOS glass...
I saw a black badged JJ for sale online (I think it was at Eddies) and I was torn between the two (got mine from the Amp House). I agree, I like them both equally. The gold looks a little more vintage and the black looks a little more modern. Either way this amp is balls to wall kick arse...
I had the option of ordering one directly from Dave with the extra master or getting a signed one from The Amp House. After much thought I came to the conclusion that I most likely wouldn't have the need to switch between the two during one song and I could easily switch modes on the head...
Congrats! Welcome to the club. Got mine about a month ago. It's Fan-freaking-tastic. Amazing twist on the modded plexi platform. Plexi in DNA, but so much meaner and better. A deeper darker tighter less muddy plexi. I can't stop playing mine. While you can hear the basis for the JBE in...
Thanks guys. You both have most excellent avatars... I need one.
The JJ is definitely a keeper. It covers almost the entire spectrum for my needs. I have a Tungsten Cortez (5E3) for when I feel tweedy, but other than that I think the JJ would do it for me. I have a sentimental attachment to...
I would agree here. You're not just hearing the PI pushing the power tubes, but you are also hearing the speakers which are going to be way under powered at wife/baby happiness or night time levels. For me, the only solution for getting cranked live sound was using the CAB.
I got my JJ about 3 weeks ago. After much discussion and help from LPMojoGL making my decision to pull the trigger on the most expensive amp I've ever bought, I grabbed one of the last few signed ones from the Amp House. It's pretty much everything I need and want in an amp and it's the exact...
I have an Aracom. It attenuates Marshall type amps with no change in tone, but it comes with a significant price tag. If I were buying now, my money would be on a Fryette Power Station for about $175 less.
I've used an Aracom with my JJ100, but I find that the master is good enough that I don't need it at all.
For silent late night playing/recording I use head phones. I connect the Aracom to the JJ speaker out and set it to Load with no speaker attached. I run the JJ Line out to a Torpedo CAB...
