Im totally gonna sound like Debbie downer here, but I think you need to assess how much it will cost to record, as well as a realistic estimate of how many CDs you think you can sell.
There's no use raising $5K for a CD if you might only sell $1000 of CDs.
It would be more useful to just...
... I have one for sale in the Classifieds.
Thanks. I also have an XTC head Tuki slip cover.
MODS: If this is inappropriate, please delete, but I figured due to the specialty nature of the product, it would be cool to cross link.
Jimmy - he's not lying.
Despite the fact that Fulltone will swear up and down by the serial numbers, there are transition units like the one you mentioned. I've had one. They sound like V3s.
V3s have more bass, more treble, and the volume comes on quicker. They get kinda boomy in the latter...
You need a buffer. 100% Invest in a good one, and it'll preserve your tone.
It will also allow you to run much longer cable lengths from your board back to your amp, with no degradation in presence or clarity.
My latest buffer discovery: the Visual Sound custom shop Puretone. 2x2" mini box...
Let me tell ya - for $200 bucks used, it was a total score.
I swapped the speakers for V30s (for higher wattage and more versatility), but it sounds surprisingly big for an open back. I'm considering making a back panel out of some nice birch ply, and covering it in tolex, to close it up, and...
Phenomenal comparison video. Wow. Thanks so much for posting. I've been using a SH5 Custom for a while now, and I can't believe how "polite" it sounds compared to some of the others.
So about a month ago, I was on the hunt for a beater 2x12 cab. I picked up this Bogner Alchemist diagonal 2x12 cab on CL for a good price. Came loaded with a Greenback and H30, which I swapped out for a pair of V30s. Even though it was a beater, the cosmetics were kinda bugging me - Brushed...
Are you using the Pedaltrain Velcro or the 3M Industrial stuff?
I hate to bash on them, but the Pedaltrain Velcro has never worked well for me. Melts off in heat, leaves horribly sticky residue, etc.
The 3M Stuff, on the other hand, has always worked great.
From what I can remember when I played the 20th and Regular EL34 Shiva back to back, YES, mode and shift switches OUT is the standard shiva gain setting.
Keep in mind, the KT88s will alter the tone to quite a degree.
If you already have a Dr. Z, a Tele, and a Wampler Ego, you should be arrested by the Brad Paisley Tone Police for not owning a Paisley Drive already.
:gethim:
I love love love the Wampler Paisley with a Tele through a Class A EL84 amp. (surprise surprise, just like Brad).
I *like* with buckers, but I feel there's other verdrives that work better with higher output pickups.
Here's a thread with pics of my PT2 with jacks.
I've since cleaned up the grommets, as well as rewired it with smaller, more flexible Mini Mogami cable, but I've gigged regularly with this patch bay, and never had one failure. Solid as a rock, and quite - the connections are completely...
There's a bunch of different ones to get. Those are the kind that Friedman uses at Racksystems. I've used regular Switchcraft ones with good results (be sure to use insulating washers though). And people also like the 1/4" locking Neutrik ones (which require a much bigger hole).
If you're...
Yeah, you bought the wrong grit, unfortunately.
I just bought the whole kit. Works GREAT after a fret level. Progressively gets to a finer grit. The heavier grit is necessary to get the sanding grooves out after levelling.
I still used 0000 to get a mirror shine as the last step. But the...
