Hey guys gotta a little project with my pedal board that was inspired from all the killer pedal board builds around here.
I want to add a patch bay like I see on boards posted around here but I dont know what kind of 1/4 jacks to get.

Im looking at these http://www.fullcompass.com/product/353507.html
Would they be the proper kind to get or should I be looking at something else?

Thanks for looking!!!

There's a bunch of different ones to get. Those are the kind that Friedman uses at Racksystems. I've used regular Switchcraft ones with good results (be sure to use insulating washers though). And people also like the 1/4" locking Neutrik ones (which require a much bigger hole).

If you're drilling through metal, do yourself a favor and grab an Irwin Unibit. It's a stepped drill bit to go through metal. Works awesome. Just got one, and wish I would have bought it 10 years ago.

Thanks bro!!

Yea unibit's are the shit!
I've been a metal worker for the last 10 years and unibit's are life savers for some of the work I do!

Here's a thread with pics of my PT2 with jacks.

I've since cleaned up the grommets, as well as rewired it with smaller, more flexible Mini Mogami cable, but I've gigged regularly with this patch bay, and never had one failure. Solid as a rock, and quite - the connections are completely encapsulated by the PT frame.
