Since many folks are recommending old SS amps, I'll throw in the Gallien-Krueger guitar amps. The 2100SEL and 250ML/250RL mainly. Hardly any good clips available to hear them though.

Are the Fanes in the Fryette cab the regular F70 speakers or the Fryette F70G? I remember reading somewhere that they're different and that Steven wasn't happy in full yet with the F90s and they were still tweaking a custom version of the speaker for Fryette.

I vote you try the new Fanes in the Diezel cab before they make their way to the Wizard cab. It would be a great comparison between the two front loaded cabs and to see how construction and materials affect the tone.

^Excellent demo. I like the smoothness the Fanes had and the cleaner sound. Makes me think they would be a great match with amps that have a lot of highs. Delivering a sharp, but smooth tone hopefully.

The Jackson Pro series 7 strings are worth looking at. The SL7Q and SL7 plus the Broderick models. The Schecter Banshee Elite are also pretty damg good in my experience.
