Just to clarify since I was asked about it, the Floyd Special is not original to the body. I simply have no use for it so I am giving it away with the body.

I suppose you could use some feeler gauges. The precise gauging should allow you to get a smooth wedge.

I really liked the Sin Mix direct profiles for high gain. He has a lot of free profiles to sample on his site last I knew.

I tried turning the impedance trim pot up all the way but, with my gear and the sound I am after it sounds better in the middle. Sounds more aggressive to me.

I would probably put a bit of ink or paint on bottom of screws then press in place in pickup cavity. Then when you pull the pickup out there will be paint marks where you can drill small holes deep enough for screws to go in. Just measure thickness of body to ensure you don't drill through the back.

That looks pretty awesome. My first guitar had that exact paint-job. It was not as nice, a crappy Westone with generic Floyd that I could not get to stay in tune. Sadly, that guitar was stolen. :(

Did not read thread but I have a wood front panel you can have if you want. Just pay my shipping costs. I took it off a 6505+ I had in the past. I took it off because I think it looks better with badges mounted to metal grill, better ventilation, and that panel is actually somewhat heavy.
