You'd need to assign a CC# to a specific button on the GCP, and then have that same CC# set up in the G Major to on/off the effect. On the G Major, you'd get into the MOD menu, and scroll down to Delay On/Off... then scroll to the right and make the number become say #70 to on/off that effect...

Because the store has to "process" the order. Happened to me a few months, bought a pedal from local GC online, showed up to the store to pick up and the store manager is like "it's not ready yet" Even though the pedal was in the case right in front of me. Blame GC corporate for these things.
