Seems clear to me and made my move out, don't need another hassle. You?

Gonzo. About a year ago...had 44 great sales/purchases, but then a scammer had to come in and ruin it all. Tried the 'ole switcheroo' and return an amp that wasn't the one I sold him.
Told them to stick it. Closed my act and prevented Reverb from accessing my bank. Back to eBay I went.

Not sure I need to close my account. Really doesn’t impact me as a buyer. I’ve never sold on Reverb. Never planned to either even before the change. I’d much rather sell on forums to people I know.

For every problem story on Reverb there's a problem story on eBay. What's the difference? It's a risk we take selling online vs. just selling everything for 60% at GC.

I hope one of these days I'm so happy with my gear that I never have to buy & sell again.

Probably wont be selling on there anymore. No more paypal, the make you ship the item first, and when there is a tracking number, they credit your bank account - in a few days. I like to sell stuff, keep it in my paypal slush fund, and use that to buy something else. Once the money comes into the family bank account - it's gone!

Haven't had any bad experiences on there, mostly selling with a few purchases. Prob gonna go back to eBay mostly as it seems there's less fees there.

Seems like when I posted this poll it didn't happen concurrently and now we have two of the same polls...

Will be a buyer but took my listings down when they eliminated PayPal as a payout. I won't close the account though. It's not bad being a buyer. But too risky to sell.

You dont even need an acct. I was able last night to buy as a guest and used my PayPal acct.

That's not a bad idea. I will still keep my account though for the feedback at a minimum.

Why do you need feedback if you're only a buyer, isn't selling the problem? There's no doubt they're ripping people off.

I would just rather have it for reputation and in case I do an online forum deal, I have something to show for reputation.

I take it back. I just found out you can’t block users. I was selling a USACG roasted maple neck wit SS frets, sperzels and R3 nut for 200. I’ve listed twice and end up taking it down because of a single low balling (I didn’t even list as accepting offers) and OCD million question jackass. I’m afraid to sell to the guy.

I took down the ad and the fucker is still messaging me

I'm dealing with a buyer on there who is claiming I sold him a broken amp. Thing worked perfectly when it left here. Trying to insist that I refund his money too....nope.

Done selling after this situation.

Once bitten = twice fucked.

I got out before I got bit.

NO but I pulled the amp I had for sale on there. I don't understand the extra shipping charge they are hitting people with. Does reverb ship amps?
I always ship mine through fedex and reverb isn't involved

May not be the correct thread but hope is ok to ask here.. i just put an offer on an item in a European country.. the person has about 8 things for sale, no feedback.. not super high end stuff just one piece I was looking for, hard to find.. Is reverb pretty safe as far as buying like that, if they are a scammer etc, will i get my money back? Or just cancel and wait?

They have buyer protection, like eBay..but so lopsided it can hurt the seller. As a buyer you are fine as longs you file the claim within the expected time frame.
