Throw us a drum track up here. I'm game. I'll spit in it's face n punch it in the mouth while giving it the middle finger!  I'm 43, but still play aggressive.
In my experience... amp.. and position. I can "hear" a JJ pre in the pre a lot of the time in my amps. My Rockmaster pre was.. nah, but my EVH5150III loves 'em. I just don't like it in V1.. I went with reissue Mullard CV4004. Never had a ecc83s failure or 6l6GC. EL34's... different story. I put...
I bought the 120 with Sanpara II footswitch 8 years or so ago. At first I loved it. You could set your amp model, fx, whatever and hit the switch and all was well.. cleans, dirt, and heavy if you want. I put it on a stand and it would keep up with a half stack no problem.
The first issue I had...
Does his mod turn the regular 5150III to a stealth.. for real? I mean if they were side by side, could you tell the difference other than aesthetics? If It does I'll send mine. I think the blue channel alone is worth it.
+2. Whithin the next year I will be rebuilding my Ampeg V-2 in my avatar.. (attempting anyway) along with learning basic amp design. I will need AALLlll the help I can get, wherever I can get it. Plus once I understand what's going on, how to make small changes in the amp to achieve the tone I...
 Thanks man! all good! it's reading 986 across the resistor and everything biased up fine with the other tubes.. That's an aweful cool offer though man, thanks! But It seems O.K.
Thanks, I expect coincidence. I thought maybe when I put the fuse back in, the fuse holder hit the resistor and something grounded, but it was clear. I'm no tech. I can solder, use a multimeter, know how to read (barely) wiring/schematic diagrams, but I was afraid if I do anything it will void...
LP Freak asked a question concerning fuses for BE100, I pulled out Main, looked at it, put it back. Pulled out H.T., looked at it, put it back. Told him what I had in my amp. I flipped on my amp and let it warm up. Flipped standby on and ANGANNGANGANGANGANANG.. Amp made a horrible noise. I...
Mine is from 2014, Mains- 4A SLO, (the one that came in mine reads 4A/250VP) H.T.- 2A (250V/2A). As far as a specific brand, I can't recommend. I blew the 2A when a tube went bad, the hardware store had a 4 pack for a couple bucks. It's been in there over a year with no problems.
Another vote for this. I had early 70's cry baby, muff fuzz, and Electric Mistress that one of my "buddies" decided needed them more than me. Not my buddy anymore.. This has that vibe to them and is easily adjustable.
 DUDE!! Fan-Fucking-Tastic!! Killer tunes, riffs, solos, vocals, lyrics, arrangements.. You know the sound you want, and have worked your ass off to get it! Much respect here dude :salute: Makes my old ass feel like a chump!  Keep it up!
