JJ or Genelex? I am not thrilled with JJ, don't want to pay $50 a pop for Genelex and I have found Genelex to sound a little stiff with some other amps.

I have not owned a SLO but I have spent a decent amount of time on one and never saw the magic like some do. I don't get the degree of acclaim.
TBH I would take most decent high gain amps over a SLO.
I enjoy Mr. Carlson's Lab for tech and electronics stuff. I also enjoy Brad the Guitarologist.
Both are knowledge and educational and both of the guys are pretty chill in general.

I am cheap and that is OK with me.
I have a tremoverb. I absolutely love it and I prefer it to the other rectos I have owned and whatever it does it has some magic in there. Hard to beat IMO.
