I just dropped a Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell in the bridge of a JP6 last weekend. At first I wasn't thrilled but it's really starting to grow on me. Much more defined than the CL. Not a bass heavy pick up, if that's what you like, but it's tight and articulate.
Dude, been there. Moved to the UK a few years back and went from a massive man cave jam room in my basement to a 6 x 10 storage room in my flat.
Not easy but make the best of it.
I'm looking for a lunchbox and am torn between the Grandmeister and an Engl Ironball. I've had numerous Engl heads in the past and really like them but I really dig the flexibility of the Grandmeister. Is the Grandmesiter capable of a tight/dry distortion sound similar to what the Engl's...
How is the mark iv for bedroom playing? I had an offer to trade straight up for a Diezel Dmoll that I held on but am still very interested in. I'm in a flat in london so opening up the volume isn't an option.
I'm using a 2x12 with V30's and had a similar issue with the bass on my D Moll. I put a 10 band eq in front and cut the low frequencies which resolved my problem nicely.
There's lot's of love for the G12K100's but I personally haven't had a chance to try that out.
