I just dropped a Bare Knuckle Rebel Yell in the bridge of a JP6 last weekend. At first I wasn't thrilled but it's really starting to grow on me. Much more defined than the CL. Not a bass heavy pick up, if that's what you like, but it's tight and articulate.

I use an mxr 10 band to achieve similar results. I have a maxon 808 but found the mxr was better at shaping without impacting the gain.

I'm using a 2x12 with V30's and had a similar issue with the bass on my D Moll. I put a 10 band eq in front and cut the low frequencies which resolved my problem nicely. There's lot's of love for the G12K100's but I personally haven't had a chance to try that out.

Best purchase of the year for me was a G&L Rampage Tribute. It's about as basic a guitar as it gets but I frigin love it.

Michael Hedges. I'm not a big fan of the solo acoustic thing but I saw him live years ago and he was just incredible.
