Hey there guys. So I picked up a book on guitar repair for doing my own setups, adjustments and what not and I feel like I've gotten pretty proficient at it. The next step is that I want to learn how to solder so I can make my own cables and even do power cables like the 1-spot for my...
I've had both of them for over 4 years and depending on mood, I go either way. I love the EVH's red channel more than any other channel of any other amp I have. Its just got some mojo/voodoo/spiritual vibe to it.
Depends on the budget, and for me, the Splawn is the best hot-rod marshall...
Dang - that is one hella guitar. Well placed hint about the hometown :) I've always thought about getting a Tele sorta like this, don't have the money right now but one day something like this will be mine...
So if the gig at Cafe Wha? was any indication - its the pedalboard that Dave built him, 5150III proper head, 3 cabs (2 wet 1 dry) and the stealth looks like the main one right now.
Any pics you can share Dave?
Hey Dave,
Do you have any pics information on EVH's rig for the new tour/album? Was he using the stealth/customs a lot? Were the amps mainly the 5150 III propers or the micros? Cabs?
Thanks -
Truth be told the rig the Friedman did for me viewtopic.php?f=57&t=95747 is mostly used in church. I've got an EVH 4x12 off stage and a CAA OD-100+ on top of the rack onstage with me...I'm sure Jesus appreciates good tone like the rest of us...
Bro...I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience. I've dealt with Bob on a few things including an interface. He's a class act, great guy and his stuff is the best on the market. Hopefully you end your experience on a positive note.
Dave,
I'm assuming the rig is keyed off of the rjm custom unit they built for you for him?
Do we have an eventide back in the mix? New foot controller? Or is it more of an update of the 07 rig, which was an updated version of the 04 rig.
Hey Guys,
As Dave said, there are two loops on the eclipse. I use the eclipse for delays and reverbs loaded individually into channel A and B. I have the Pitchfactor for detune, some harmonizing stuff. This way I have the option of turning them on/off individually without having to change...
I can't speak for Dave, but Dave just built my rig and the rack case and pedalboard was made by A&S Case. They are right down the road from Tone Merchants and super awesome dudes to deal with.
Ask for Jim Turner, he'll set you right...
