Not really. There are people that think they should and price accordingly, but you should be able to get SS series guitars for $1000 all day long, and significantly better prices if you're willing to look.
For anyone interested, here's the comparison review I did on an E-II Eclipse vs my ESP Standard Eclipses. I feel like I was pretty honest and fair in my review of the guitar.

I will...
Where did you see this?
As far as any official interaction with the ESP guys I've had, they've always been pretty interested in making things right or getting any information they can find. Even when I'm usually asking for something fairly odd.
I just wish I could have convinced them to let me...

It's a pretty nice collection. I'm hoping there's some new E-II models this year as well

I've posted this video here before, but this is a prime reason why the MT-2 gets a bad rap.
The story is I was selling my 5153 100 watt head. The guy came over the night prior to this video to play the amp. We spent an hour...
It moves in the direction of the tabs. But since it's compact, you can orient the switch any direction you want and it will fit into the cavity (of an Eclipse, anyway).
Not to be contrary, I have Eclipses in 10 different colors/finishes (and one in a 11th finish that I sold). They don't offer a bunch of colors a year, but they seem to offer a new color every other year or so. But yeah they hedge their bets on, you liking black or white.
That's sort of what...
I have a bunch of ESP Standard Eclipses and an E-II as well. I can be picky and say some of the QC on the E-II wasn't quite up to the old ESP Standard level, but I did buy the E-II used, so that may have something to do with it. The hardware is nicer on the E-II.
I don't mind buying an E-II...
E-II replaced the old Standard Series (It was called LTD Elite for a year before the E-II name was brought in). CNC cut, production line assembled, finished and QC at ESP Japan. People claim different things as to whether the CNC work is done in Japan or at the Jixi factory in China (where...
The copper one. I have nothing to do with the auction, but neither of those guitars do anything for me.

It's a shame for the families of the affected. Terrible to lose a job with no notice. Even worse around the holiday.
I don't know how the greater musical instruments industry plans on surviving in this day and age. You can't keep shoving out a million guitars (my estimate for the entire...
The ones I get for my Eclipses are the Shorty Toggle Switches in whatever color I'm looking for.

I play the guitars that make me happy.
Only once has anyone ever come up to me after a show and talked to me about gear, and that was a guy who thought one of my custom made guitars was an Epi Les Paul and asked why I was playing it while the other guitarist had an LTD EC-1000.
I showed him a...
