Mesa used to do GREAT demos. In the rock category. Not metal which a lot of people wanted. They used to have this guy do demos of their stuff, he had fancy looking boots and wore scarves and stuff I think. Anyway, whoever he was, I used to really dig his demos and tone.
Also, hated that Fluff...
“Sorry honey, I’ll be out soon. A guy on a forum has posted a Larry jack off video I need to watch… Are you crying again? Why are you on the phone to your mother?”
I was too young to remember. But my good buddy George was 10 years older and used to love them. Even followed a tribute band around on tour. He used to look at me perplexed and shocked when I’d say I wasn’t a fan.
He died young at 39 and years later, I actually became a big fan. Wish it was...
Nice. I don’t know Joe Holmes. But was cool seeing Mike Bordin on drums. Almost felt like I was listening to an alternative universe Zombie Eaters, swampy edition, for a minute there.
But yeah. I feel like the shredder guys were convinced by someone once that cliche songwriting and chord...
I regret watching it. Somehow the amp tones sounded exactly as I imagined he would make it sound.
The weirdest thing is people on this forum getting all defensive of him because he used to post here. Why doesn’t he anymore? Because he wasn’t your friend or anything guys.
Good. So he’s just lying then to seem important. I’ve watched maybe 3 of his videos ever. And when I say watched, skipped through. For some reason this was the first modded 1959 and it appeared in my timeline
I don’t even want to bag him out. He’s not my style or tone at all. I’m glad some...
My god, this is going straight over your head.
I don’t care if he is wildly popular and successful. He can make all the videos he likes. Good succeed to him.
The issue is with him being the consultant for the design of an amp he is not qualified to be.
You are missing the point. I could and do easily avoid this guy and the lameness. I’m happy you are happy for his success and voice.
What I don’t like his is involvement in design and tone consultation. It sounded like shit and he has done nothing to deserve involvement. He isn’t known for...
Because it sound like shit and I’ve never heard a single song by “Fluff”, especially being known for that type of amp. Why would Marshall think he is a knowledgeable authority.
You mention people on this forum, I’m sure many here would have been a better collaborator and more knowledgeable...
This guy says he was heavily involved with Marshall in the development of the modded 1959. But why? This is not a guy I think of as being any type of authority in that type of amp or mod, and his demo shows it.
Not at all the type of tones I want to hear out of this. Why are YouTubers given so...
