That's pretty much exactly how I feel about it, that coupled with the bad luck on the two I just went through is enough for me not to want it, I might try the satan if I ever see it locally but I just question the build of that whole line of randalls

I had the 100 watt solid state randall for a few months and it was cool, but not a keeper for me. I might try the 5150iii again one day if I see it locally at a reasonable price though, I did enjoy the blue channel, for some reason I was trying to make the red channel work more than I tried...

Maybe so :lol: :LOL: I like it, but wish I had a full on Nitro to have a clean channel to. I have the new DSL100HR coming and I think that's more along the lines of what I'm looking for just for versatility and price, plus I've been really wanting one of the 80's Charvel models! :rock:

Have a 2012 Splawn Super Comp in very good condition for sale or trade. The Super Comp is the high gain channel of the Nitro, so it has TONS of (usable) gain and a big and tight low end. In a way it reminds me both of a JCM 800, and a Deliverance 120, feels nicely saturated but also tight and...

Took a chance on a kt88 loaded supercomp recently, it is one of the best amps I’ve ever owned and boosted with a Maxon it is my ideal metal tone. I’d like to try a quick rod one day, even though I live close to splawn I never see his amps second hand locally

My vote is for the Ibanez tbx 150, I gigged that for years and had many compliments, great clean channel too. Also the newer Randall RG series is great sounding in my opinion. Personally I think the boss katana only sounds good at lower volumes
