The other way to do it is this. . .
Take the line out of the Friedman, into the effects racks, out of the racks into the return loop of the Marshall.
This method will use the tone from only the Friedman -- the Marshall will essentially act as a power amp.
I noticed that most of the manufacturers use two 16 ohm speakers, wired in parallel in their 2x12 cab, which is then an 8 ohm cab.
Is there a reason for this? You could also use two 8 ohm speakers wired in series for a 16 ohm cab. But you don't see that as often.
I'm getting ready to buy...
A quad of 25 watt greenbacks is fine with the Ecstasy. You won't be peaking the power, so it'll be okay.
I've run my 100 Marshall 4x12 many times with the 101b.
Looking to cop the EVH "Live Without A Net" tone with the old Eventide 910/949 and a little delay.
I also need a decent tremolo effect. Will the Core do this, or do I need the Standard version?
A few years back, didn't Suhr agree to stop doing these finishes due to a friendship with James Tyler and his "schmear" finishes?
I thought there was something about Tyler feeling he was being ripped off.
He's actually using a pick for several things on both the Winery Dogs records. He's said in interviews that it just depends on what he's going for. I'm pretty sure he's using one on the outro solo on Empire, and there are other places that sounds like it as well.
Yes, correct he's been using his cornfords on this tour, and on parts of the album. He also tweeted a photo of a Vibrolux Reverb reissue with a caption about tracking "Empire."
Anyone know what tremolo pedal he's using on Spiral and The Lamb?
I had a hard time getting into the new record as...
I know live, he's been using his RK100 Cornfords again. And, I know he used a Fender Vibrolux Reverb on "Empire."
Does anyone have details yet on what he used on the album tracks? I thought there would have been an in-depth Guitar Player article by now.
Not sure exactly what a Grynch is, but if it's something new, at $600, and you're offered a Gibson Les Paul studio from the 80s, I'd take that trade in a second (assuming the guitar plays nice).
Those white Studios are sweet.
Ok, I just looked up the Grynch. . . Hetfield ESP thingy. Now, I...
