need assistance with a wet/dry set up

The other way to do it is this. . . Take the line out of the Friedman, into the effects racks, out of the racks into the return loop of the Marshall. This method will use the tone from only the Friedman -- the Marshall will essentially act as a power amp.

    Thanks! That helps!

    2x12 wiring preference?

So, you wire them in series for a 16 ohm cab, and then you can switch to parallel wiring for a 4 ohm cab?

    2x12 wiring preference?

I noticed that most of the manufacturers use two 16 ohm speakers, wired in parallel in their 2x12 cab, which is then an 8 ohm cab. Is there a reason for this? You could also use two 8 ohm speakers wired in series for a 16 ohm cab. But you don't see that as often. I'm getting ready to buy...

Dual Rectifier 2 channel not enough presence|treble

Something is wrong with the amp. It should be sizzling. I have to keep my presence down to keep it from getting too hot.

    Bogner Ecstasy with Helios 412

A quad of 25 watt greenbacks is fine with the Ecstasy. You won't be peaking the power, so it'll be okay. I've run my 100 Marshall 4x12 many times with the 101b.

Recording question. How to sound like a pro.

This x10. What sounds great in a mix is NOT what sounds great by yourself in the bedroom. They also have way less gain than you think they have.

    Which Eventide H9?

I think I saw a demo yesterday with pitch and delay? It was one of the EVH settings.

    Which Eventide H9?

Looking to cop the EVH "Live Without A Net" tone with the old Eventide 910/949 and a little delay. I also need a decent tremolo effect. Will the Core do this, or do I need the Standard version?

How does Suhr do their drip finishes?!

A few years back, didn't Suhr agree to stop doing these finishes due to a friendship with James Tyler and his "schmear" finishes? I thought there was something about Tyler feeling he was being ripped off.

    Kotzen gear on Hot Streak?

He's actually using a pick for several things on both the Winery Dogs records. He's said in interviews that it just depends on what he's going for. I'm pretty sure he's using one on the outro solo on Empire, and there are other places that sounds like it as well.

    Kotzen gear on Hot Streak?

Yes, correct he's been using his cornfords on this tour, and on parts of the album. He also tweeted a photo of a Vibrolux Reverb reissue with a caption about tracking "Empire." Anyone know what tremolo pedal he's using on Spiral and The Lamb? I had a hard time getting into the new record as...

    Kotzen gear on Hot Streak?

I know live, he's been using his RK100 Cornfords again. And, I know he used a Fender Vibrolux Reverb on "Empire." Does anyone have details yet on what he used on the album tracks? I thought there would have been an in-depth Guitar Player article by now.

    Keeley Van Halen pedal?

I'd LOVE a pedal that could do very slight 910 shift with a layered dual delay. Live Without A Net tone in a pedal would be SWEET.

Anyone know what Keeley has up his sleeve? He's been posting Instagram photos hinting at a new VH-inspired pedal.

    Gibson gurus,please help!

Not sure exactly what a Grynch is, but if it's something new, at $600, and you're offered a Gibson Les Paul studio from the 80s, I'd take that trade in a second (assuming the guitar plays nice). Those white Studios are sweet. Ok, I just looked up the Grynch. . . Hetfield ESP thingy. Now, I...
