This!
Ralph,
Do you remember reading or hearing anything about Stryper blowing their amps up using some type of boost? (possibly the PQ3).
A buddy of mine swears he read a Michael Sweet interview that stated they toasted a bunch of their amps from boosting them like this.
I know a lot of...
Yup,
What Ralph said.
I also used the low frequency parameter to cut some of the bass before the amp to tighten things up a bit.
IIRC
70-80hz, narrow bandwidth cut a few dB
The noise reduction would probably be most effective in the loop.
What tones are you trying to get?
I used to use a PQ3 in front of my Splawn for that super midrangey 80's rock sound.
Like Steve said...it will be noisy, but it can get some great sounds this way,
I used to use my gain lower kinda crunchy and use the boost from the PQ3 to get the drive I...
Good luck on the fix.
Having to go back to the SB isn't that bad of a problem to have.
I loved the clips you posted of that bad boy!

I was just rockin' to Marino...................the dude can definitely jam!!
I think it is a close race though....here is my vote for Canadian produce:
That is the same thread I am talking about.
One of Cliff's retorts started something like this
"and you would be wrong again"

I would be willing to guess that the little debate Cliff and Jay had over some very technical speaker science was what caused Jay to take his little red wagon and go home.
Cliff corrected Jay several times (or at least made the statement that Jay was wrong...whoever was wrong is beyond me)...
I think the Axe-Fx is appropriately priced..it might not cost 2000 to manufacture but with limited sales the only way to make a living is to make your product worthy of it's price tag which most owners think it is.
I do agree with the end of your post.
Get well Cliff
Very level answer...I assume it is sincere..
Speaking for myself...I am not pissed at you..I don't hate you..how could I ? you built my favorite piece of guitar gear I have ever owned(seriously)...I feel sorry you are in the place you are at...(although I wish I had the intellect to do what you...
mayonnaise is great...wait a minute...are you guys trying to get me to follow your thread derailment?
My .09 cents.
This is 100% Cliffs fault.
He has been down this road 2 times already. He has seen the impatient wanna be customer lined up waiting for the golden ticket to buy a precious...
