It blew us both away the amp wasn't fried when we hooked it up correctly. What was weird is the sound coming out of the tubes was like the guitar sound coming out...very quiet but you could hear it.

Are you sure about the Switchblade being 100% analog ? I don't believe they are..but maybe I am wrong. FWIW I have a GL sitting in my rack ..unused for a long time, but I love the thing....I can't get myself to sell it even though I might not use it any more. I have never noticed any tone...

Cool band.. I saw them at a Huntington Beach battle of the bands back in '82 or '83..or was it '84. Anyways I just went down to the beach to chill and this B.O.B. was happening. Leatherwolf blew me away. Their 2 hand tapping stuff was way ahead of it's time IMO...... They lost to some trench...

fixed I actually have an easier time getting a monster tone out of my Axe-Fx than I did with the 2 Bogner XTC's I sold.. one if not both are probably floating around this board somewhere..

Thanks for the tips Hugo. So did you use car audio stuff for this build? I did a search for a 100 watt class d power amp and the first that came up were very powerful car amps....then did a search for the speakers and car audio came up as well.

Axe-Fx Ultra. I have crossed at least one plateau and maybe 2 since I have gotten mine... No more tweaking my rig every day to get a sound I like and having ear fatigue then going in the next day to shrillness. I have a rig that I have approximately $15,000.00 invested in it sitting right...
